Discussing the Diaspora as seen through an internal Black lens
January 8th, 2008
15 year old Chioma went missing in December.

I wanted to see what’s new since I posted on it last week. I searched both yahoo and google news searches, and not a one item on her.
I think it’s time for another Black Bloggosphere foot up the media’s ass!
Can’t Misses
I’m getting some shine from a couple of other bloggers this week, be sure to check them out:
I guest posted on some Motown music at Old School Music Lover.

Peep the classic footage of Marvin,, Tammi, and Diana.
Also, I’m profiled today by Vanessa Byers at On the black hand side. You can learn a little more about me and my motivations for this blog.
Thanks for your support!
And if anybody knows anything more about Chioma, fill me in.

Hi, just want to thank you for the trip down memory lane. I am an old school music lover, L actually have all of this music. One of my passions is music. There were a lot of great artists in those days, and being from that era, I think I can rightfully comment. Whereas, I am not so much a hip hop fan, I like some of the songs by some of the artists, they all originated from those of the old school. We should not forget.
Unfortunately, I’m finding that the media doesn’t cover all too many of these cases. It seems that small children are more valuable then a teenager. Anyway. I covered Chioma earlier today. If you ever see someone that needs more press, please let me know about their case.
Meg
I’m glad you enjoyed it, I had fun putting it together.
I actually came by a lot of that music through hip hop. A lot of old school soul I fell in love with as a sample on a rap song before I heard the original.
Yeah Meg, your post has the same info my original post on Chioma had. There’s just nothing new provided on her a week after I posted and a month after she went missing.
That’s tragic!
Like you, I have been searching on Chioma Gray and no luck. I posted on my blog and a friend in the UK asked if I knew anything. It is really sad. I hope she is found alive.
Thanks for keeping her face and voice in the public. If not, people forget!
Yeah, I just try to do my part.
It’s a shame that she’s just being totally ignored.
