Discussing the Diaspora as seen through an internal Black lens

When asked in the debate if Americans have a stomach for boots on the ground in Darfur; which is a false question because almost no one is asking to necessarily put American boots on the ground, but for the U.S. to provide military support and so on to African Union boots on the ground; Biden responded:
“I don’t have a stomach for genocide when it comes to Darfur. We can now impose a no fly zone, it’s within our capacity. We can lead NATO if we’re willing to take a hard stand”. He then continues to explain about how we can provide the helicopters in support of AU troops.
Surprisingly, Palin said “As far as Darfur, we can agree on that also; the support of the no fly zone…”
To date Biden (and probably Kucinich) is one of only a couple out of the 15 or so who ran between the two viable parties, who’d take a strong stance on Darfur; as I pointed out in this article about the CNN youtube debate; where Hillary Clinton basically took the same do nothing position that her husband took on Rwanda.
Barack is the only other one to come close to a strong position as he’s made a stronger issue of it over the last couple of months. But if these two vice presidential candidates are sincere, no matter who wins, maybe we can get them to push their bosses to move on this, and provided the air cover that the AU ground troops need to largely end this thing.
I will be holding either ticket that wins, accountable to living up to last night’s responses.
On another note, LMAO - Biden also point blank and matter of factly said “Vice President Cheney has been the most dangerous vice president we’ve had probably in American history”.
