Bill O’Reilly Wants To Lynch Michelle Obama

I spoke yesterday on what Michelle meant to convey when talking about being proud of her country for the first time in her adult life, in this NPR interview.

But really it’s irrelevant what she said or meant one way or the other.

Here’s Bill O’Reilly’s response to her comment:
“I don’t want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there’s evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that’s how she really feels—that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever—then that’s legit.”

Wait a minute; you’re saying this is not a flawed country. You’re saying that America is as Godly perfection?

Anyway, moving past the nonsense of that premise; this guy has the gal to say its “legit” to lynch her if her opinion is not to his liking. I guess he’s going to be really upset when he finds out she was allowed to learn how to read.

Maybe Billo can get the same people that Kelly Tilghman was going to have lynch Tiger Woods to go get Michelle – ya know, a two for one.

Kelly Tilghman

This is easily far worse than what Imus said. Still, I can’t muster any outrage though, because it’s so expected and par for the course coming from O’Reilly, it’s kind of like being surprised that a baby pooped its diaper.

Maybe Kelly and Bill can be co-grand marshals for the lynch party parade.

Nooses are not a joke, and lynching isn’t either.

Sigh. The only way I can reconcile myself to O’Reilly’s continued existence is to think of him as something not quite human.

That’s the scary thing, he’s all too human; and there are many, many, many, many more like him!

I have to say that Bill O’Reilly is a joke, even he knows it. The scariest thing about him though is that there are people out there who take what he says as gospel truth, they get fewer every day though, and I’m hoping that trend continues.

It is rather strange how “lynching” always comes up with these idiots.

The reason he uses words like that is because quite simple he is bigoted, racist idiot and because he can - that is the sad thing.

I know that Bill O’Reilly doesn’t believe half the things he says.

When he first started out he was giving it to republicans and democrats a like. He leaned right, but only a little right of center.

But he was on Fox news, a far right network with a far right audience. He did the best in his raiting when he escoriated liberals, and not as much when he went after conservates. He saw that, and started pandering, and that’s when he started going over the top.

There’s two things about O’Reilly. He’s very egotistical, which won’t allow him to pull back off of something, and like Bush, won’t allow him to admit when he’s wrong.

Secondly, he’s mostly amoral and only cares about money; and if being an outrages shock jock is what get’s him paid, that’s what he’s going to do. He’s simply the Howard Stern of political radio and tv talk.

I was thinking the same thing Cooper. Why even mention lynching if you don’t what your comments to sound like your trying to gather up a lynch mob. If he has some criticism about Mrs. Obama’s statements just spit it out. Don’t preface your statement with some ol’ “I’m not a racist, but these black savages really bother me”.

Kenny, that sounds too much like logic for Bill O’Reilly.

Bill is a clown and some others on the far right are just as bad. It just bothers me so much that race is such an issue in the current presidential race. Another writer over on Highbrid Nation wrote a piece about how very recently Repulicans have been surveying college students to see how far they could push the racial stereotype language before people would say its too much. How crazy is that?! It’d be nice if we could judge these candidates on their leadership skills and nothing else. I know, thats not gonna happen.

Yeah, I read that article somewhere else this morning. Those people are what they are they. And they want us to believe that the GOP is not simply just a good ol boys club.

“They” think that they can make it acceptable to use the word lynch if they desensitize folks by saying it little by little until no one fights it anymore.

I’m sure that’s right, especially in this “post-racial” society we find ourselves in.

White folks are desperate to pretend racism doesn’t exist anymore; so that they can continue to perpitrate the status quo without being confronted on it.
