Black Officer Actually Took Down Fort Hood Shooter

November 12th, 2009

Fort Hood Police Officer

Senior Sgt. Mark Todd told the story of what really happened on Fox News this morning and in a New York Times article which states:

KILLEEN, Tex. — Sgt. Kimberly D. Munley has been applauded as a hero across the nation for shooting down Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan during the bloody rampage at Fort Hood last week. The account of heroism, given by the authorities, attracted the attention of newspapers, the networks and television talk shows…

The article goes on to give Todd’s account of his encounter with the shooter:

“Once I came around the front of the building, I caught his attention again, started shouting commands and then he opened up a second time,” he said. “And that’s when I returned fire, neutralized him and secured him.” Citing the ongoing investigation, Sergeant Todd declined to give more details about the precise positions of Major Hasan, Sergeant Munley and himself during the gunfight. Neither would he say how many times he shot Major Hasan with his 9 mm pistol, or what the gunman was doing when he shot him down. The whole chaotic encounter lasted only 45 seconds, he said.

But Sergeant Todd’s account agrees with the statements of an eyewitness who had gone to the base’s processing center, where the shooting occurred, to conduct business before being deployed.

Yet, somehow, again, white people get all the credit for everything done in the history of the world. Lying about history is bad enough; but damn, lying about the present.

[...] Munley got credit because someone’s racist. Some don’t like to credit black [...]

The Media is always so damn quick to report nonsense as fact.

Think balloon boy as the most recent example.

It was originally reported that Hasan was dead. The initial reports also indicated that there were as many as three shooters.

Were those inaccuracies because of race too?

    Who’s the racist here again?

Sailorcurt, it becomes more and more clear they you cannot trust government reporting about these incidents. We just have to wait for independantly verified information to come in.

It’s like the Jessica Lynch lies all over again.

@Firehand Or most likely the same repeated pattern of white’s taking credit for everything in the history of the world for 400 years over and over and over again was repeated. It’s not logical in the least to assume that the same repeated pattern was all of a sudden repeated for a different reason.

If the media just loved a heroic female story, why’d they ignore Shoshana Johnson (black) while making a false hero out of Jessica Lynch (white) in the exact same incident?

Further, the police and other authorities were in front of cameras plenty of times, including live t.v. If they wanted to tell the truth about the incident, there was NOTHING stopping them.

And to that point I guess you skipped this part of the post: “The account of heroism, given by the authorities, attracted the attention of newspapers”
