Discussing the Diaspora as seen through an internal Black lens

I was one of the first to put you up on the Superdelegates even before the mainstream media started talking about them. Now I bringing to you knowledge that there is a group of superdelegates that are considered Superduper delegates.
That’s right. The party machine in all its political insider wisdom has seen fit to reward the state party bosses with extra superdelegate power. The insider politics in the Democratic Party apparently knows no end.
Every state party leader is rewarded for their loyalty to the party (hence disloyalty to the people) with the power to appoint others as superdelegates. This is the party of the people, right? (Yeah, right!)
Holding superdelegate appointing power in their hands is a nice little weapon to allow these party bosses to wield party power with in their state, and then have an even greater undo influence on deciding who gets to stand for president in our corrupt two party system.
He remains uncommitted, yet he could be the most powerful superdelegate of all. Torres gets to name five additional superdelegates, giving him control over six votes at the national convention.

“I am the super of supers!” Torres proclaims with a laugh.
He and other state party chairmen will appoint most of the additional 76, known in Democratic ranks as “unpledged add-ons.”
The different state party bosses get a different amount of delegates they get to appoint depending on the size of democratic electorate in thier state. This allows one individual to not only have a personal vote that counts for the same as about 37,500 voters (based on approximately about 30 million people voting in the dems primaries this year); but they can appoint others who they are sure will vote the same as they, giving someone like Torres voting power equivalent to about 225,000 primary voters (37,500 * his 6 superdelegate votes)
There are about 800 superdelegates all together, accounting for 20 percent or so of all the delegates that get to pick the nominees.
Oh, not to mention that Howard Dean, national party chairman gets to appoint 25 of his personal loyalist to the 186 member credentials committee which will decide whether or not Florida and Michigan delegates get seated. You can read about that crap here .

You can see the Superduper delegate list and how they’re committed here
The Democratic Party is so democratic — not!

This entire system is a joke.
The joke is on the American people though; that’s what’s so bad.
