Fox News made sure to note that he is the "hip-hop mayor", not their words, but Chris Rock's words.

Why do politicians come with all that extra stuff? Go into office make a difference in the community and get out. Why start acting up and doing dirt? For all that stay a regular person on the street and do it. You'll save people a lot less pain.

Associating this dude with hip-hop reflects poorly on the community. I'm sure no one will go looking for hip-hop to denounce this dudes deeds in office.

Urban Thought, they do it because they don't care. All their actions are for themselves.

In a world of ego maniac politicians, Kwame Kilpatrick is a King.

But they primarily do it because we let them. Actually we encourage them, as is the case here. There was no reason Kwame should have been voted back into office. The fact that the people of Detroit did vote him back into office was a clear signal to him and other Detroit politicians about how they should behave.
