House Boosts College Aid for Students in Need
WASHINGTON (AP) — Riding the coattails of a historic health care vote, the House on Sunday also passed a broad reorganization of college aid that affects millions of students and moves President Barack Obama closer to winning yet another of his top domestic policies…
…In the biggest piece of education legislation since No Child Left Behind nine years ago, the bill would also provide more than $4 billion to historically black colleges and community colleges.
Blackperspective.net contributor Tressie Mc says:
The most important pieces of the legislation include $4 billion for HBCUs, increases in Pell, and as of 2014 your student loan payment cannot be more than 10% of your income. You’re welcome.
No, can’t be! Because according to Tavis and all the fake black panthers running around; Barack don’t do nothin for Black people.
They just want to be loud and be on tv. Like he can announce a 10 Point Platform for Black Self-Determination from Oval Office.
He doesn’t need to talk about what all he’s going to do and alert the people who would throw up stumbling blocks. Just move in silence and get it done.
But that don’t work for Tavis, cause he gets paid to be on tv and talk about black issues; not get results. Which is why 10 years of Tavis’ b.s. has resulted in nothing but lining his own pockets.
