First Bill O’Reilly says he wants to lynch Michelle Obama if she meant what he thought she meant by a statement.

Then this week there was the uproar about a Georgia paper putting Obama in the cross hairs of a sniper riffle scope on the cover their magazine to illustrate a point about white supremest who are suspect to be a possible threat to assassinating Obama. So on the heels of that; Hillary says this:

Bringing up Bobby Kennedy’s assassination as a reference point makes no sense in the context. He wasn’t even leading the race at that time I don’t believe; but nonetheless there is no parallel. If the nominee gets assassinated, you don’t need to be in the race to still get the nomination in his stead; so that’s not even a reason for staying in. The day right after there’s a big uproar about an Obama assassination picture, it’s that much more clear that Hillary Clinton meant at the least to put the ideal in the minds of upcoming primary voters, and especially in the minds of superdelegates; and at worst was trying to incite some of these racist whose support she’s so proud of; to actually go and do it.

Historian Douglas Brinkley says “she floated something similar to this in March to Time Magazine”

Senator Clinton’s explination later in the day is as follows:

“Earlier today I was discussing the Democratic primary history and in the course of that discussion mentioned the campaigns that both my husband and Senator Kennedy waged in California in June 1992 and 1968 and I was referencing those to make the point that we have had nomination primary contests that go into June. That’s a historic fact.

The Kennedys have been much on my mind the last days because of Senator Kennedy and I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation, and particularly for the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that, whatsoever. My view is that we have to look to the past and to our leaders who have inspired us and give us a lot to live up to, and I’m honored to hold Senator Kennedy’s seat in the United States Senate from the state of New York and have the highest regard for the entire Kennedy family.”

Keith Olbermann says she never “recognized Obama in that half baked apology…”

This comes on the heels of her having to apologize “if anyone was offended” for equating being hardworking only to being white.
