Jada Pinkett: BlackPerspective.net Beauty of The Month

This is a monthly series at BlackPerspective.net. Beauty in our country and in world culture is most often measured through the lens of white men; here we’ll take a Black perspective on beauty. Beauty comes in many forms, and we will highlight some various different types of beauties.
With her new show Harwthorne set to appear on TNT on June 16th; Jada Pinkett Smith is June’s Beauty of the Month.
The program is self-described on it’s official website as: “Jada Pinkett Smith is the latest talented actress to join TNT’s line-up of strong, complex female characters, following in the footsteps of Kyra Sedgwick on The Closer and Holly Hunter of Saving Grace. This summer, Pinkett Smith executive-produces and stars in HAWTHORNE, a character-driven drama series about a nurse who is a true everyday hero.”
Sounds like The Closer meets ER (or maybe a little more Chicago Hope). I’ll be sure to watch it when I have nothing else to do.
Nah, I’ll give my girl Jada’s show a look see on night one. It’s not like there’s a lot of good competition on t.v. anyway. I’ll hold her down cause to me she’ll always be Lena James from A Different World; the love of my life - ha.
