National Organizing Help

September 4th, 2007

Join the Virtual March if you can’t be in Jena on September 20th. Also, everyone is being asked to wear black on that day in solidarity and a show of support.

Read the Nashville Black Covenant Coalition Press Release for why the March will go on; despite the overturned conviction.

Color of Change has been organizing on the groun in Jena for a while now; and they’re one of the main entities organizing the September 20 rally in Jena. If you need help organizing or finding others in your area who are, contact gena@colorofchange.org. Many local groups are organizing chartered busses to go down.

Also, go to MingleCity.com - this is Radio Talk Show Host Michael Basiden’s central location. According to my contact at Color of Change, he has been asked by the families, along with Al Sharpton, to take the point on organizing the event.

Donate to the Legal Defense Fund; because as Mary Mitchell says, “Moral support OK, but Jena 6 need money”
