Discussing the Diaspora as seen through an internal Black lens

Before todays trading deadline passed, the guy I think is the greatest baseball play of our time was traded to the Chicago White Sox.

Griffy is expect to play center field. Once a great outfielder, major leg injuries have limited his mobility in recent years.
Maybe he can get his ring - I’m Sox all the way for the rest of the year.

Ken Griffey Jr. Traded to the Chicago White Sox: Could Junior Win a World Series?
This morning, Ken Griffey Jr. was traded from the Cincinnati Reds to the Chicago White Sox on the final day before the MLB trade deadline. The move thrusts Junior into the middle of the pennant race, with the White Sox currently leading the 60-46 Sox currently leading the AL Central by 1½ games and raises the question- could the former-Mariner win a World Series?…
Although, it looks unlikely that we’ll be seeing Junior in Mariner blue anytime soon, his return to the AL will at least promise a mid-August series with his former team (unfortunately not at Safeco) and the possibility of future M’s-Griffey reunions.
The 38-year-old 13-time All-Star is currently batting .245 with 15 homeruns for the 2008 season and could contribute nicely to the White Sox offense.
