    If that type of sport is your thing then take your ass in the ring and go toe-to-toe with someone…see how long YOU do it.

    But yeah, this false pride ideal that Black people should be defended just because they’re Black has to stop. Its Black people who are most hurt by these black offenders; as most crimes are committed with in racial/ethnic groups, so we should be the most outraged.

    If I have to defend the like of R. Kelly (who’s supposed to go on trial next month) or OJ Simpson to be down, then I don’t want to be pro-black no more, I’d rather be a sellout. I would be different if they were being railroaded because they’re black, but that’s not the case in most situations.

    I totally concur. I’m not an animal lover; but I believe you should treat any living thing with some basic humanity.

    I am in full agreement with you. Vick’s biggest mistake was not putting himself in better company once he got his big contracts. I don’t know if he is guilty or not , but I think it’s fair to say that he knew and has been told to put himself around responsible people. The irony of it was that it all was that his so called “boys” that he couldn’t part ways with were the ones who implicated him, when pressed by authorities about their own activities.

    My problem with Vick is that he was/is ignorant and defending ignorance should not be the work of the country’s oldest and grandest civil rights institution - if the NAACP were still grand.

    This is why they couldn’t get that $20 membership fee from me if the Klan came back strong. I’ll take my chances on my own, thanks. /eyeroll

    20 dollars! The only thing they’ve ever gotten from me is a return of their annual survey notifying them that I am not “Colored”, and that they ought to actually do something for black people and stop all their nonsense.

    obviously they didn’t listen seeing as I never got one of those annual survey’s again (even while I was at the same address) and they’re still engaged in crap like this.
