    Obama Raises $32 Million in January

    WASHINGTON) — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama raised $32 million in the single month of January, a whopping figure that has permitted the campaign to boost staff and extend advertising to states beyond the sweeping Feb. 5 contests, aides said Thursday.

    The amount was the most raised in one month by a presidential candidate who still faced a primary challenge.

    Obama is now advertising in 20 of the 22 states in play for next week’s Super Tuesday and plans to begin advertising in seven more states that hold primaries or caucuses later in February. Rival Hillary Rodham Clinton is advertising in 12 Super Tuesday states, including her home state of New York.

Obama started advertising here in Nashville right after South Carolina. Hillary then jumped in a few days ago. Obama’s ads are real good. Hillary’s was just ehhhh. Not bad, just her normal Hillary political speak.

I voted for Obama on Monday, and to think I almost voted for Edwards last week. I’m glad I decided to come back to Obama or else I would have felt real stupid for wasting my vote come Wednesday morning when Edwards dropped out.

The Blessing and the Curse of early voting. The Blessing part is I can pick the day when I want to go when I have time, and I didn’t have to stand in line at all. Everybody should have early voting. If your state doesn’t have it, you should fight for it. It’s the answer (if people take advantage of it) to long lines, failed machines, and running out of ballots.

If the machines fail during early voting and you still have 2 weeks to early vote plus the election day, then you can still just come back and vote when they have them fixed. If they fail on the only day you can vote, then your assed out if they don’t have enough paper ballots (which they never seem to in these situations).

    I feel a Marion Barry type scandal in the works. Michelle Obama better get an exterminator; she’ll need some serious pest control.

    I think Barack already got his crack smoking out of his system as Team Clinton has so often reminded us; so I think he’ll be okay :P
