Discussing the Diaspora as seen through an internal Black lens
January 22nd, 2008
I laid out in this post that the Clintons embarked on a clear campaign of race baiting after Obama won Iowa.
I wrote that racism doesn’t matter because for them it’s about the ends justifying the means. That is, racism or not it’s irrelevant to them, because they’ll sacrifice anyone on the alter to get what they want.
I remember the Sister Souljah incident in ‘92, but I was all of 14. I watched the news every evening but not like now were I digest it; sometimes all evening on the cable channels, NPR in the car, and there was no internet (for most of us), so no pouring through articles and blogs all day.
I didn’t quite realize what all it intelled until I just read this article. And it’s not revisionist history, it was publishe at the time; back in ‘92
Peep how Negroes had strong rebukes at the time, but the same brothas ended up being the Clinton’s arch ass kissers (Jesse Jackson being one of Clintons spiritual advisors while he was in the white house and his leading black, and Charlie Rangle playing Negro attack dog against Obama now)

Escalating his conflict with Gov. Bill Clinton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson charged today that in a clumsy bid for the backing of alienated white voters the presumptive Democratic nominee had “again exposed a character flaw.”
In a bitter rejoinder to Mr. Clinton, Mr. Jackson said in an interview that the Arkansas Governor had come to the Rainbow Coalition conference in Washington last weekend to “stage a very well-planned sneak attack, without the courage to confront but with a calculation to embarrass” him.
At the conference of Mr. Jackson’s coalition, the Governor denounced the rap singer Sister Souljah for having used racially inflammatory language in a newspaper interview, and he criticized Mr. Jackson for asking her to take part in the meeting.
By his choice of language today, Mr. Jackson, an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic nomination in 1984 and 1988, rubbed an old sore and raised the specter of continuing conflict within the Democratic Party. Mr. Clinton has struggled for months to put the “character issue” behind him and in recent weeks has seemed to succeed. ‘Isolating Jackson’
Mr. Clinton’s “Machiavellian maneuver,” Mr. Jackson declared, was intended “purely to appeal to conservative whites by containing Jackson and isolating Jackson.”
Even cooning Charlie Rangle had some Black in him back then: “Representative Charles B. Rangel of Manhattan said the Governor’s behavior had been “insulting”. Hmmm, that would be a good description of his behavior right now, wouldn’t it.
The article continues in detail here
This is your “First Black President”. The exact same tactic they used then, they’re using now. No wonder they were so brazen in going for it, IT ALREADY WORKED! And mystified as always Black followed behind them afterwards. Where were our leaders to point this out? Where were our writers and thinkers? Again, we have no Black Leaders, just Leading Blacks .
It takes a white man to stand up and call Bill on this shit, in the face of a nation of castrated Negroes:

Looks like the media is doing their fair share of race baiting. Since when did debates include all the blatantly racial questions? I mean really, the Clintons and the media have successfully marginalized Obama as the “Black Candidate” which is intended to turn off progressive white voters.
I think you’re on to something their AJ.
I think it was all relatively inevitable as well, which it is always wise to stay reserved in ones excitement about these types of things.
I think the ideal of a Black President is all dandy with some people as long as it’s an ideal; but win a brother actually starts winning, and Barack is winning in the delegate count; it’s a whole nother animal.
Is this not the typical way , they always deal with black folks. It seems that we are always OK until they feel a threat. (Remember youre Place) this goes all the way back to the years following the civil war. This is the same thinking that was responsable for Jim Crow. These people will use us as long as they can, they dont need us now got them some new (@!$$%^S) the hispanic vote.Example that stupid Question to Senator Obama about Bill Clinton being the first black President. Thet continue to UNDER VALUE,UNDER ESTIMATE,us and yet will follow them blind. What if anything did Bill Clinton do for Black people wwhile his was in office?????
Forgive my type-o, and allow me to add this , If you saw the debate did you see the way Hill was looking at Senato. Obama?
Good analysis on how whites politically used us at the end of slavery and then shut down reconstruction and left us to the whims of the vengeful southern planters. It’s the exact same thing. And you’re right; the Hispanics are going to be their new niggers. This is why I’ve been beating the drum the past year about how the Hispanic rise threatens our interest; but no Black folks want to hear that, they think the Hispanics are going to stand side by side with us and form a coalition.
How’d that work out during the Nevada vote? Clinton 64% of the Hispanic vote, Obama 22%.
I did not see the debate, only clips. But from what I saw it looked like the same detestable look she had on her face in the previous debate. The “how dare you nigger” look.
Looks like the truce didn’t last very long. It’s more smoke, mirrors and politricks than facing real issues such as the struggling economy and unemployment.
Yep writeonbro, that’s why it’s dangerous for Hillary to win the nomination. Hillary Clinton is all about games; and sooner or later the blow back is going to be something fierce. Probably right before the November election.
