Thirty-four of a little over 250 Democratic representatives voted against the Senate version health care reform bill that became law Sunday night. Two of the 34 are from Tennessee: Lincoln Davis and John Tanner.

This month is the 50 year anniversary of the Nashville Lunch Counter Sit-ins, as discussed in this post; which where proceeded by a Silent March after the bombing of Z. Alexander Looby’s house.
Looby was the lead lawyer for those who committed civil disobedience in the sit-in campaign.
