Two Parts
1.Mike Vick
2. My Turn
Mike Vick
Michael Vick is going to plea guilty to one aspect or another of dog fighting. We don’t know the details yet; the specifics of the plea have not been released. We’ll know next Monday the 27th, that’s when Vick’s plea hearing is scheduled to transpire.
A statement released Monday by Mike Vick’s lawyer, Billy Martin, in part reads:
“Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made. Michael wishes to apologize again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter.”
Yet, the “thought police” who’ve told us since his indictment that we can’t even have our own personal thoughts about the case since Vick was proclaiming his innocence and hadn’t been convicted of anything; now have a new spiel: He didn’t really do it (see they can think he’s not guilty even if he’s convicted, but no one else can think he might be guilt when he’s not convicted); he was setup and is being fingered for something he didn’t do. Even though he’s taking responsibility and saying he did do it.
They have no evidence to back this up mind you, but who needs facts when they have their opinion? It works for George W. Bush.
Apparently the FBI snuck on to Vicks property and planted 17 dead dogs, sheds with blacked out windows, cages, rape wracks etc. It’s COINTELPRO; because Vick is such a political radical that has spoken out so strongly for Black people that he must be stopped! *rolls eyes*
For some Black people, pro-black means pro crime, and as a Black Nationalist I’m supposed to defend criminals no matter what, so long as they’re black; even if they’re harming black people i.e. R Kelly molesting and pissing on underage Black girls.
This ideology is in stark contradiction to the stalwarts of Black empowerment. As Carter G. Woodson, Marcus Garvey, WEB Dubois, Malcolm X, Martin L. King Jr., etc. extolled the necessity of raising moral standards to the uplift of the race.
My Turn
Likewise as Vick I have to take responsibility for a mistake I made. I was named one 3 finalist for Best Political blog in Black Weblog Awards. And even though I never did it, I joked about voting twice, and was rightfully disqualified. I didn’t realize it was against rules because I didn’t think about it, it just didn’t come to mind to check.
Nonetheless, ignorance is no excuse, and a rule is a rule; and I broke the rules.
Don’t worry though, I won’t ask any of you to defend me just because I’m Black. I broke the rules so I’ll take my medicine. Congradulations to the The Field Negro who replaced me.

That’s different, that’s a technicality. One little mistake.
Mike Vick on the other hand has a litany of technicalities that include abuse, rape, gambling, illegal breeding, tax evasion, tax fraud, animal cruelty, and stupidity.
See if you put it that way, voting twice doesn’t seem so bad. :~
LOL, thanks. I feel much better now.
And it’s Mike’s stupidity that offends me the most. It’s hard to get my mind around how he could throw away everything for such nothing - just an artificial thrill.
Hey, we all make minor mistakes and blunders. Keep on keeping on!
The real problem with Vick is that he was arrogant and white folks do not like arrogant niggers, especially rich ones. On top of this, they view him as a loser. Had he won a super bowl he would not have been charged with dog fighing, the other dudes would have taken the fall, but the Falcons wanted to dump Vick. He blew it but unlike the brothers in the street, he still should have some of that 130 million left in the bank.
