Truth About Megan Williams Rape, Defendant Still Says It Happened

In the days following the Megan Williams press conference to recant her story, I’ve cobbled together from the facts and from the thoughts of those directly involved with the case, what I think can be demonstrated is really going on here.
In contradiction to Byron Potts’ (Megan Williams lawyer) factually and logically defunct press conference last Wednesday; all evidence and everyone who was actually involved in the case at the time, demonstrate that the sexual assault and captivity did indeed happen.
People who are rejoicing over the recant as proof of the racist lying blacks, egged on by poverty pimps, in particular Al Sharpton; getting innocents whites sent to prison on a made up story, on the word of lying Black woman, can stop jumping up and down.
Problem is this line of thought simply doesn’t comport with the truth. Megan Williams did not show up at the police station out of the blue and claim some people raped her; then law enforcement commenced to arrest and prosecute on her word.
She was FOUND in captivity by the police based on an anonymous tip. Hence, she was rescued from the crime scene; a shed outside of the trailer home of Frankie Brewster and her son Bobby Brewster, in the back woods of Logan County West Virginia.
To act like this didn’t happen makes about as much sense as Union Soldiers liberating slaves from the slave quarts of plantations, then a couple years after the civil war claiming that slavery just never happened; and that the now freed Blacks just made it up.
There was no Al Sharpton running around the backwoods of West Virigina planting evidence. His involvment was well after the fact. After the cases had been put together, and the arrest already made.
What happened from the time of Megan’s rescue has been a secondary, albeit lesser, tragedy to her abuse. This developmentally disabled , then 20 year old, has clung to the spot light that came with the attention she received from sympathetic well wishers and supporters. Likely due to receiving the positive attention and perks that she garnered early on; like a child who will say what ever will please an enquiring parent, Megan began embellishing details of the abuse.
Even as prosecutors where attempting to prosecute the case, they knew she was embellishing and wanted her to be quiet and stay out of the media; because she was messing up the case with her unstable recounts. The prosecutors having wanted this was reported in the media at the time. I know, I reported on it at the time; so this is not something being made up now.
This is why Megan Williams testimony was never used to prosecute the defendants. There’s a reason why all seven plead guilty to large amounts of time (in most cases); and it’s not because a young woman with the mind of a child, who prosecutors themselves new embellished and would not make a good witness; was saying they did it. If Megan Williams testimony had to be relied on, they would have all gone to trial and they’d all be free today.
Instead 6 of the 7 are still in jail for many more years because the evidence was overwhelming; most namely the crime scene on the Brewster’s property; and pictures of the sexual abuse and captivity that the defendants had taken with disposable cameras. With that, they all confessed, giving details of the crime that were corroborated by physical evidence. Not only that, according to the police chief, they were all questioned separately, and there stories matched one another.
The Megan Williams rapists were not convicted based on Megan Williams Word; but on actual physical evidence, and on the admissions of the defendants themselves.
And to end all argument, one of the defendants, Frankie Brewster; while sitting in jail facing another 8 to 23 years is still saying it occurred, and that Megan William’s recant story is false. Brewster told local news WHCS_TV on Friday that “”It did happen…All of us participated.”
Since the initial situation faded from the headlines, Megan Williams adoptive mother has died; and she moved in with what her own current lawyer describes as her “care giver”, Valencia Daniels. This is some one she just met about two years ago at one of her support rallies. According to even Valencia Daniels Megan Williams “goes back and forth, back and forth” about the rape having happen. She’s been flopping back and forth in public statements since July; saying it didn’t happen, then saying it did, then saying it didn’t happen again.
Megan Willimas has the mental capacity of child, and hence flawed reasoning ability. That’s why she has a “care give”. She’s not physically handicapped; and mentally competent adults with no physical problems don’t have care givers. Hence, it is clear that she is either being manipulated by those handling her; and or, she’s having a tough time dealing with the aftermath of what happen to her; coping with the assault itself, losing her emotional support system, via her mother dying, and now being financially destitute with no viable way to support herself; she’s looking for some attention. In a flawed way she seems to be trying to garner some kind of help; trying to recapture the months after her rescue where things were paid for, where she was given a lot of personal attention, and she was provide trips to New York in plush hotels. Basically, when she was being taken care of.
I hate that the prosecutor simply describes her as only wanting attention, in a disdainful sounding way, without qualifying her condition. If one is a lowly, insignificant young person without power, from a small rural area, who had been abandoned by her own family, then had her adoptive mother die on them, and lacking the capacity to successfully handle their own affairs; you might understand the desire for attention to be something of a very different nature than Richard Heene craving stardom and wanting attention for a reality show, simply to fill a narcissistic need.
Malik Shabazz, who stood in as legal council/spokesmen for Megan Williams in the months after the assault thinks Valencia Daniels is manipulating Megan. I don’t know about that, so I won’t say that. I certainly however put great fault on Byron Pitts for turning this girls disturbed and unstable emotional-mental state into a public spectacle.
Listening to his press conference, he didn’t even know basic facts of the situation like why race was an issue in the case, the reporters at the presser had to tell him. The fact that Megan had claimed racial slurs were used in the assault were in the original media reports that came out. Not knowing bare minimum information like this shows he didn’t even bother to do a cursory check of the facts even on the internet before going to jump in front of the cameras; much less conduct the investigation of legal professional.
He says in the press conference the first thing he though was why did the defendants all plead guilty to something they didn’t do; but obviously he didn’t lift a finger to try to find out the answer before going public. Checking the plea records, or calling the prosecutor (like the media did); would have gotten him quick answers that would have dispelled Megans new accounts.
The fact that he did not report the recant to police and prosecutors, and as a lawyer he certainly knows this is what you need to do to actually get innocent people free, nor contact the defendants lawyers; but instead went to the cameras within 2 days; shows his motive without doubt. After all, he admitted in the press conference that “I love publicity”. Indeed!
He also noted that Megan had been trying to get someone to take this own for a while, but no one else would. There’s a good reason for that. No one with any integrity who wants to maintain any credibility; nor anyone who’s established with simply a sense of self-preservation would want to touch this obvious nonsense.

I was hoping that you would get back to me on twitter and explain how I have a racist agenda as you said. It sure would be interesting to hear an explanation on that one after the conversation we had.
My words were you have a “race agenda”.
I saw no point in responding to you any further as you clearly have your mind made up based on taking whatever position will support your agenda; despite evidence, facts, reason, and logic.
Your constant, ‘black people face it, it was a lie’ mantra in and of itself; but especially used in place of responding to specific arguments and evidence shows your clear race agenda to promote some ideal that blacks who protest racism are just whiners victimizing good white people.
And don’t tell me you couldn’t have this agenda because you’re black. You’d hardly be the first one or the last.
Let me tell you something. You are entitled to your irrational decision to think this girl was lying. But you contradict your statement with physical evidence from the crime scene. YOU get over it, you can’t accept the fact a disabled black woman actually gets protected by other black people of the community. You are another hateful and racist person and Nowadays white supremacist, such as yourself try to swindle out of saying the N word by using other tactics to identify a black person. It is like, going around the bush without saying the N word. You think you can try to mastermind your thoughts with education to intimidate a specific race or color. That is why we have people like Al Sharpton. To SEE through your shit!
