White Folks Going Ape-Shit Over Animals Again

December 19th, 2007

So some monkeys got stolen somewhere in Kansas:

“Concern for three monkeys stolen from an exotic animal preserve near Lee’s Summit brought out people dressed in gorilla costumes at the Jackson County Courthouse on Tuesday.

Three pigtailed macaques were stolen in October from Monkey Island.”

At commondreams.org the question is asked: “Is it possible to be for both human rights and animal rights? Can there be a movement or an alliance of movements that links the two? PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has just made it a whole lot harder, with its display of pictures of predominantly Black people being tortured, beaten, burned, sold and hanged, juxtaposed with animals in similar circumstances.”

Forget comparing us to animals. As far as these “liberal” white, animal worshipping, fascist extremist are concerned; we don’t even measure up to garner the same concern they have for dogs.

These animal worshipping fascist want to re-write the world order in human to animal relations. Sure, on the whole I’d like to see animals treated better as far as not having undue abuse, and not having some of these extremes that we see in the production of food. But the deranged animal Nazis want them to basically have full citizenship rights, more or less. They want to make them equivalent to humans.

Those of us with any good sense and real humanity need to back these wackos down. These PETA types are the real terrorist threat that we face? Instead of sending another 71 billion dollars over seas to play perpetual grab-ass with the Taliban and Muqtada Al-sadr, we could take about 7 million and wipe these nut jobs out right here at home.

PETA and those who share their ideals are a bunch of morally deficient wack jobs; not only unconcerned about human suffering; but are willing to cause it on behalf of a rat.

Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen

They’ve resorted now to character assassination through childish-amateurish parroting of young celebrities Mary Kate and Ashley, as “Hairy Kate and Trashley Trollsen” – you’ve got to watch this retarded PETA Full House parody video

They’re going to prove my above points, and I just watched this after typing everything that came before this point. They actually advocate for throwing a toddler out of the house because she’ll wear fur in the future!

I loved this comment on there:

I’m a member of PETA:

People
Eating
Tasty
Animals

Hahahahahahaha!

Yeah, this monkey business (pun intended) is happening in my neck of the woods…eh, aren’t there bigger fish to fry?

Ha ha, you can’t fry fish; that’s like the holocaust or something.

PETA is about living in a bubble. It is easy to make unimportant things seem monumental when you don’t have to deal with the realities of those less fortunate. That’s why Michael Vick fighting dogs in Virginia is a bigger story than daily African American homicides in Philadelphia.

PETA people are encapsulated in a bubble of their own making. They’re mostly a bunch of wide eye-ed rebel wanna-bees who were inthralled as youths by watching civil rights, anti-war, and counter culture protest of the 60s and want to immulate that; but don’t have an authentic cause; so they invented and exaggerated one to believe in so they can feel self important about the great work that they’re doing.

A bunch of self important little monsters trying to were the mantra of Ghandi’s legacy; but it doesn’t nearly fit.

While I’m not a “PETAperson” and I certainly think human rights are of more import than animal rights, I don’t think fighting for the rights of animals is a pointless cause. There is no reason to slaughter animals for fashion, period. There is no reason to have dogs kill each other for your enjoyment. It’s just cruel.

Natalie “I don’t think fighting for the rights of animals is a pointless cause”

No, the cause may not be pointless. It’s just that you have a lot of inane, pointless people at the fore front of it; with twisted back-ass ideals that they’re trying to normalize like a lot of other folly that’s been normalized in the last couple of decades.

Us white folks are downright silly at times which is why comediennes will never be without fodder.

My aunt is a physician who told me once that when she was in med school they were on some rotation where they were taking care of trauma patients and this one young kid was dying, there was this other intern who was taking to the family, he was telling them how he understood how they felt and they asked him if he had children and he said “no I don’t but I have a dog which is the same thing”. The family about flipped out on him and the guy had no idea why……

PETA is just a little too uselessly wacko for my taste. They need not to exist. In a world full of travesty they are pointless.

Animal Rights are not pointless, but reason has to enter into the picture somewhere.

I’d have been ready to choke that dude. Unbelievable!

Uselessly wacko is right in regards to peta and their types. I’m with you on reasonable animal rights.

Yes, IMO human and animal rights can work together. We just have to realize that what the goal is, is RESPECT FOR LIFE in general–try to save who you can, with humans having priority over animals. A person who is cruel to animals may be cruel to people as well, and vice versa–solve one problem and you may solve both.

And too bad PETA went kind of nuts. They make anyone who cares about animals look bad.

PETA is one of the “mega-churches” of the new animal “rights” cult, the new religion of our secular age. In addition to the Olson twins, they have gone after Aretha Franklin and Michele Paterson, wife of New York’s new governor as well as other prominent women for wearing fur coats, even suggesting that these women surrender/donate their coats to PETA (Aretha told them to mind their friggin’ business). One should research and read the total goals of this cult of animal “rights” (not animal welfare), then think and do the extrapolations of EXACTLY what it means for humans. The animal cult and the related “earth cult” also has ideas (and fantasies) about how to deal with what it sees as an over-population of humans. Ingrid Newkirk, head of PETA, likened humans to cancer. These folks are fascists who want to control and order your lives according to their vision of the world. Talk about cultural imperialism! You should be aware that the first modern nation-state to pass animal “rights” legislation was Nazi Germany, and we all know the “compassion”(one of the animal “rights” mantras) of the Third Reich towards human beings. Don’t allow the animalista thugs and their clueless celebrity mouthpieces to normalize their misanthropic cult. Speak up and fight back.

Don’t hate the cause just because of one or two groups. There have been horrifyingly terrible democracies, does that mean all democracy is bad?

    No.

Animal rights is a valid cause, but that doesn’t mean its more important than human rights. That doesn’t mean animals don’t have rights, however.
