Women Buy Hillary’s Tears, Leading Her To Victory in New Hampshire

The “Comeback Kid” Part 2

Her husband Bill, even though having lost in New Hampshire, used his slick-ass willy skill to spin his defeat into a so-called comeback, and the name the “Comeback Kid” would stick; playing-out a number more times over his presidency.

Well New Hampshire has made Hillary the new “Comeback Kid”. Counted out, projected by the media and “experts” to lose to Obama by 8 to 12 percent; she pulled off a 3% victory.

Where Obama pulled even with her among women in Iowa, and beat her significantly among young women; she won women in New Hampshire by 13%. Anecdotal evidence would suggest that the Sisterhood sympathized with here teary-eyed boo hooing the day before, and pushed her over the top. Obama led women in the polls by 3% the day before the vote.

She also won in the small percentage of democratic New Hampshire union homes, and she won on the economy.

The media experts purported landslide for Obama led Anderson Cooper of CNN to suggest the question that maybe the “Bradely Effect” took place and voters lied to the pollsters about voting for an African American.

Watching the White House drama, The West Wing, I learned that the network PBS always scores significantly higher than it’s actual viewer-ship in ratings polls due to people lying to the pollsters because they want to appear smarter and more sophisticated. Basically, if there’s supposed to be a right answer, people often tell pollsters what they want to hear - what will keep them from looking bad (ie stupid in regards to pbs, or not racist in regards to Obama) instead of what’s true.

I think this result has more to do with Hillary’s “damzel in distress” whimper-fest changing a lot of votes, most particular female votes, at the last minute. They felt sorry for her, and they didn’t want the first potential female president out of it so early.

Hillary said in her victory speech, “In the last week I listened to you, and in the process I found my own voice” - ummmmm, more like you found a new way to pander for votes.

Yeah, great line though.

John McCain won 37% to 32% over Mitt Romney in the Republican Primary. Also a big comeback for a candidate who’s campaign seemed dead a few short months ago, and finished 3rd 5 days ago in Iowa.

Well there you go everyone can see the Clintons for what they trully are, the comment she made about MLK, Obama made her cry so the white folks had to come to the rescue her in NH. This is now about our self respect as a people,as a family. I am hoping everyone gats out and votes for Obama

What comments did she make about MLK, I missed those?

It was certainly expected and reasonable for Senator Obama to get a bump after his win in Iowa. But when the bump turned into a double digit lead, it just did not feel right. Hillary’s little episode came across a whining to some but simply evidence that she is human to others. Anyway, being a close second in a state so close to New York is nothing to be ashamed of and actually bodes well for Senator Obama’s chances in primaries to come. That “whining thing” will only work once. I also missed any MLK comments.

Yeah, the 12 percent never sounded right to me either. I know some people were jumping all over it; but that’s called believing what you want to believe.

The old Democrats and womenz came back to her in the end.

The tears didn’t work for me, but I know the Clinton’s are political geniuses…The media wanted to count her out, but she’s a fighter, and a woman, she’ll claw kick and scream before she goes down without a fight, and she take another candidate with her.

The Clintons are briliant strategists. Obama is going to have to be ten times better. I am sure that if you are African American, you have heard this before. When you are competing with the White man, you have to be ten times better. This is the way of the world and of America. What we have witnessed here is the prelude of the things to come.

Now, the fight will get ugly. Obama is not out by a long shot, but he does have his work cut out for him. Just as one of the comments suggested, the tears will only work once. Hillary will have to come up with a better one than that. I do believe she received sympathy votes in the end, but her win over Obama was marginal at best. I personally would love to see a Black man in the oval office. However, I also want the best candidate sitting there. I once again want to admonish the Black community not to be afraid to ask the hard questions. We need to know that these candidates view African Americans as citizens of this country too. We need to stop letting these candidates use us during election time. This seems to be the only time that people in this country pay attention to what is going on in the Black communtiy, with the exception of the crime statistics.

I agree that most Americans are tired, the war, the economy and the worldwide view of this country. But we, as African Americans have to recognize that we are still considered an underclass, not equal to White folk, therefor, not deserving of the same rights as our counterparts. This injustice is what we should be fighting against, and we should be electing a candidate whom feels that this is wrong. We must ask the questions.

This is what she said, liking herself to Johnson and Obama to MLK:

“I would point to the fact that that Dr. King’s dream began to be realized when President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when he was able to get through Congress something that President Kennedy was hopeful to do, the president before had not even tried, but it took a president to get it done. That dream became a reality, the power of that dream became a real in peoples lives because we had a president who said we are going to do it, and actually got it accomplished.”

MrsG, they are difenitely shrewed politicians. You can never count them out to the final bell.

I give Hillary credit, she is a fighter. A disengenious one, but a fighter nonetheless.

They are brilliant strategis Barbara, or as I would say, cunning wiley devils.

You always have to watch them, they keep a trick up their sleeve. They’re at their best when their backs are against the wall and they’re master minipulators. You can never sleep on the Clintons; that was Barack’s mistake.

    Thanks AJ.

LOL, the only problem is that Hillary is not the president who’s going to get it done; even if she can, unless we’re talking about fabricated wars to line the pockets of teh rich. In that case she’s “your girl”!

When the Clinton machine lined up with the Bush Clan I questioned they confirmed we had been bamboozled. And when Bill as a former pres. defended his wife and spoke of Obama’s fairytale movement, I just saw white boy saying to his folk you aint gonna let this n…. upstand my wife and one of our own. I hate the theatrics, but really love Obamas poise so far considering the attacks, It just keeps pounding his message.
I dont understand why folks say he doesnt have a plan cause I havent recieved on from any candidate to date. And far as the King comments, that brotha gave his life LJ had a simple choice to do the right thing and Im sure it wasnt with the purest intentions, so Hillary should have shaped her point differently.

The Clinton’s will say and do anything to get their way; and pimping black folk is one of their favortie pass times.

They can’t believe that there are so many negroes not being loyal to their masters; as if we owed them any loyalty at all whatsoever. Loyalty for what; talking a good game and not doing much for us.
